Borbonese will open a pop-up boutique in Porto Cervo, Sardinia over the summer months. The concept of the boutique, which combines classic elements of stationary points of sale with the character of an art gallery, is to be applied to all new openings in the future, the Italian bag label announced on Tuesday.
The pop-up boutique is part of an expansion strategy designed to strengthen the label’s competitiveness in the international market. “In a single place are represented the values that I believe will be fundamental for the brand in the near future: creativity, digital innovation, sustainability, without neglecting the historical heritage of the brand,” says Alessandro Pescara, Managing Director at Borbonese about the location.
Borbonese had from March to May three pop-ups in German department stores such as the KaDeWe, Oberpollinger and the Alsterhaus. Bag models from the HW22 collection are presented in the pop-ups – the shop design consists of sustainably manufactured pieces of furniture, which are contrasted with LED video installations and neon elements. Borbonese describes the concept as “a form of experience and content delivery that is constantly evolving”.
