Barça’s communication managers identified two Danish media outlets before the press conference
The journalists did not have question time and suspect that the player’s father could have vetoed them
The signing of Andreas Christensen by Barça has raised great expectations in Denmark, country of origin of the player. In fact, there were several media present at his presentation yesterday at the Ciutat Esportiva through his special envoys. However, some of them did not quite feel comfortable during it.
As Christensen stepped onto the pitch at the Tito Vilanova training ground, a press officer approached the Danish journalists to ask if they worked for ‘Ekstra Bladet’ or ‘BT’. The answer was affirmative. The curious thing is that, once the special envoys have been identified, the editor of ‘Ekstra Bladet’, despite his insistence, did not have a turn to speak during the central defender’s press conference. Only a Danish media could ask the Danish international. According to the journalist himself, the reason could be in the differences that arose with the soccer player’s father due to some publications that appeared in the two media. From the Barça press they argued after the appearance that there had not been material time for all the journalists to ask and that the special envoys from Denmark had not been the only ones.
