The number of children and young people who are being supported because they grow up in a disturbing home situation, for example due to neglect or abuse, has increased in 2021. The increase is particularly striking at the youth care support centers. There, the number of supervisions rose from 12,184 in 2020 to 13,471, an increase of 10.5 percent.
