The best friend of the “Manta, Manta” icon is dead. Tina Ruland (55) received this message in the jungle camp.

There was a small hint of this on the TV show on Sunday night when Ruland says that she is very sad. Sender RTL did not resolve the background of these feelings for the viewers. At the end of the show, Sonja Zietlow only explained a little cryptically: “I noticed and I’m very sorry.”
What’s behind it: Tina’s best friend Astrid died after a long and serious illness.
Boxer Regina Halmich (45), who is one of Tina’s close friends and was also friends with Astrid, managed her Instagram account during Ruland’s time in the bush.
Halmich writes movingly on Sunday: “An incredibly sad message that reached me today. Tina’s best friend Astrid passed away yesterday after a long and serious illness. I don’t want to anticipate anything, but I still want to inform you, because Tina will also find out about it.”
Halmich continues: “It was her express wish that she also found out about it in the camp if Astrid’s condition deteriorated. Tina, we all feel for you! My heartfelt condolences also go to the entire family. Rest in peace, dear Astrid.”
BILD knows: Ruland was informed on Sunday afternoon. A production spokeswoman for BILD: “Before the show, she explicitly asked to be told if her friend died. She was ill, so a message like that was conceivable beforehand.”
In January 2021, Tina Ruland wrote loving lines to her best friend on Instagram, along with a holiday photo: “My best friend then and now. No matter how often we see or speak to each other, we are always there for each other in all situations and know that we can trust each other 100 percent.”
