Russell Crowe in a miniskirt and a talking bapao: the new Thor is one hell of a campfest

A Marvel masterpiece: just when all superhero movies were starting to look very similar, in 2017 the eccentric New Zealander Taika Waititi (best known for Jojo Rabbit and What We Do in the Shadows) was put at the helm for Thor: Ragnarok. Marvel owner Disney wisely let him go his way. Fans swallowed the style break. Fortunately, because comedian Waititi is back and makes Thor: Love and Thunder another blissful campfest that is dripping with irony. Though it could be a bit more grim this time.
