After allegations of racism by the organization Fridays for Future, the Berlin police have not yet received a report on the case.

A spokesman for the authorities appealed to those who might be affected to put allegations on record. “This is the only way we can clarify whether there has been misconduct by police officers,” said the police spokesman on Tuesday. The news portal “watson” had previously reported about it.

Fridays for Future wrote on Instagram that several activists had experienced “brutal, racist police violence” during a meeting of the organization in Berlin-Kreuzberg on the night of July 2nd.

According to the descriptions, “four young black, indigenous and people of color (BIPoC)” were affected. They were “surrounded from four large police buses” by about 20 armed police officers.

“The police made threats of violence, ignored obvious panic attacks and refused medical care,” the climate protection organization said on Instagram.
