Eva Pajor will continue to hunt for goals for the Bundesliga women’s soccer team at VfL Wolfsburg for at least three more years. The 25-year-old Polish attacker extended her contract with the double winner until 2025.
“Ewa came to us as an 18-year-old and over time has developed into one of the best strikers in the world. In addition to her sporting qualities, she has a strong mentality that allows her to inspire the team. She sets a great example in all areas professionalism and is therefore a role model for many young players in particular,” explained Ralf Kellermann, sporting director of the VfL women.
66 goals in 83 Bundesliga games
“I feel at home in Wolfsburg, I fully identify with the philosophy at VfL,” said Pajor, who moved to Lower Saxony from Medyk Konin in 2015. Since then she has appeared in 83 Bundesliga games, scoring 66 goals. In 2018/2019 she was top scorer with 24 goals. She also made 19 appearances (16 goals) in the DFB Cup and 33 appearances (eight goals) in the Champions League. With VfL, the 69-time national player (46 goals) was German champion five times and won the DFB Cup seven times.
However, Pajor has not lost his hunger for the title: “The winning mentality is always omnipresent here and I would like to win more titles with Wolfsburg – all kinds of titles. The team, the coaching team and the team behind the team are just great here. I’ve already got a big piece of my life in Wolfsburg, but there’s more to come – and I can’t wait!”
