FC Bayern is apparently fishing for sought-after talent from Hertha BSC

The German soccer record champion FC Bayern is currently upgrading its squad not only for the targeted success in the 2023/23 season. The people of Munich are also setting the course for the future. Now a talent from Bundesliga competitor Hertha BSC is to switch to the Isar.

FC Bayern apparently uses the youth department of the capital club Hertha BSC. According to information from “picture” the series champion has secured the services of just 16-year-old Noel Aseko Nkili.

The defensive midfielder came to Hertha BSC from Berlin Zehlendorf in 2017. Since then, the native of Berlin has gone through all youth departments of the Bundesliga club.

In the past 2021/22 season, Aseko Nkili was mainly used for the U17s, who narrowly missed making it into the championship final. Only in the semifinals did the Hertha juniors fail at VfB Stuttgart. The youngster was also allowed to play for the Hertha BSC U19s once.

According to the report, the young talent has already signed his new contract with FC Bayern. The Munich team beat RB Salzburg, and the Austrians were also said to be interested in the young midfielder.

Aseko Nkili would put FC Bayern to good use

With Aseko Nkili, FC Bayern would get a talented six with great offensive drive. The right footer managed eight assists in 15 U17 games in the Bundesliga North/Northeast, making him the best assist provider of the entire season.

His talent has long been well known to the DFB. In September 2021, Noel Aseko Nkili made his debut for the German U17 national team and he can now look back on eleven international matches.

FC Bayern’s U17 team ended the past season in sixth place with 38 points. Bayern’s U19s weren’t able to make a big impact last season either and finished ninth.
