Private star journalist Jan Uriot is not surprised by the low viewing figures of the Gordon quiz 5 against 5. He deserves a much better program, for example a large Saturday evening show.
According to Jan Uriot, it is highly unjustified that Gordon is fobbed off with a simple program such as 5 against 5. “Now he is indeed stuck with that game, 5 against 5. I think that is the stupidest game there is. A man like Gordon, why doesn’t he get a big Saturday night show?”, he says in his column What does Jan think?†
‘Why such a game?’
John de Mol’s SBS 6 can really do better for a star like Gordon, says Jan. “He is with Talpa, they should be able to produce that, right? Why such a game?”
He continues: “Those numbers are also very bad. 200 thousand viewers, I believe, but the Netherlands is barbecuing with these temperatures – it is very hot – of course. Then you don’t sit and watch these kinds of programs and I think that’s a great pity. I do cherish him.”
Applause for turd
Gordon has been in the news lately because of his battle with the pounds. “Yeah, you know what it is, at the moment he’s losing weight a lot, you know, and that’s what it’s about on the socials again. You know what it is, Gordon is a colorful figure. We have to be careful with that, colorful figures.”
Jan does think that Gordon should dose a little. “The thing is that I gain a kilo every week and I don’t really report that. Look, it is natural with him that every turd he produces, he wants to be applauded. That is decreasing a little bit.”
