EM in England | DFB chick Jule Brand: running girl on the sidelines

Jule Brand, as the youngest member of the German soccer team for the European Championship, sometimes has to help out.

At the DFB press conference in London, the 19-year-old from TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, who will be playing for VfL Wolfsburg next season, reported with a smile on what happened during the international match against Switzerland.

Her teammate Svenja Huth (31) needed something to drink on the opposite side of the bench in the second half. “Someone, I think Poppi (Alexandra Popp) was on the way, then Almi (Almuht Schult). Then it was: No, no – Jule does it. Then I had to run to the other side. Of course I was very happy to do that.”

Brand came on later and scored a goal to make it 7-0. England is the first major tournament for the winger. She is considered the current top talent in German football.
