Another operation for THW handball player Sander Sagosen

The Norwegian national handball player Sander Sagosen has had another operation on his injured foot.

As his club THW Kiel announced, the 26-year-old backcourt player had “postoperative complications on the anterior syndesmosis ligament”. In coordination with the medical department of the German record champions, Sagosen underwent another operation on Monday morning in Oslo.

The world-class player sustained a fracture in his left ankle and a torn syndesmosis ligament in the home game against HSV Hamburg on June 5th. Sagosen will be missing from Kiel for months.

According to the doctors, the renewed intervention will delay the healing process by three to four more weeks, the Norddeutsche said in a statement.
