The second day of the Weekend festival – the first aid was employed and the celebrities celebrated

The second day of the weekend festival was spent in a hot atmosphere. The festival has received an extraordinary amount of media attention this year due to various organizational and artist problems. However, the problems didn’t stop the party people who were there from celebrating while the music played.

A lot of top domestic and foreign artists performed at the festival organized in Hämeenlinna on Saturday. Stormzy, Sanni, Ibe and DJ Snake were seen on the stages.

Help was needed

During the weekend festival, the summer weather warms festival-goers from morning to night. Although the heat increases the good festival feeling even more, it also causes mild symptoms. Supervisor of the Pmp Rescue company responsible for festival first aid Asmo Vihanne says that the amount of need for help was at a normal level compared to previous festival experiences.

Vihanne says that due to the heat, the first aid has reserved more liquid than during the cooler festival weekend.

– Helle can be seen in the cases. There have also been various ankle sprains, Vihanne states.

Vihanne says that the younger age of festival-goers does not particularly affect the cases or their quality.

Sober

Radio host and media personality Niko Saarinen spends his weekends at work, but he came from Helsinki to stop by the festivals.

– These are the first festivals of my life. After all, this is a completely different experience, Saarinen reveals.

Saarinen says that he has not noticed any problems with the festival’s arrangements.

– I think the press makes those headlines. At least all the services have worked really well for me.

The people of the VIP area

Tube player and media personality who competed in the Myyrä program Joona Puhakka tells Iltalehte about his festival feelings.

– It’s a great feeling to be at festivals for a long time! On Midsummer, we were at Tahko’s midsummer, but no one else has come yet, says Joona Pukakka.

In Puhaka’s opinion, the festivals are well organized.

– When you look around, people look happy. It’s nice that there isn’t the kind of congestion here that has been on previous weekends. The gang has spread here, Puhakka states.

Puhakka is upset about the cancellation of Yankee rapper Post Malone’s concert.

– He was the only one I would have liked to see, Puhakka regrets.

– I understand that quite a lot of tickets have been sold here under Post Malone’s name and the gang is upset. But that’s life, you can’t help it, he continues.

From the artist’s point of view

He himself performed at the Weekend festival Jambo says that his gig was very successful.

– It was wonderful to perform. Even if you could ever get to perform on the main stage, Jambo glows.

Jambo, 23, says that one thing upset him at the festival. He had brought a background fabric with his own logo from his hometown of Helsinki. However, the fabric could not be attached to the stage, so the gig had to be performed without it.

– A small thing, there’s always something like this, Jambo says with a laugh.

Jambo had another gig coming up on Saturday in Tampere.

– A weekend of three gigs! In the summer, I just enjoyed life and relaxed in the park, says Jambo.

Iltalehti previously reported that singer Isaac Sene’s gig started late and contained a lot of technical problems, which is why it ended prematurely. The cancellation of several artists has also made headlines. Among other things, the concerts of Friday headliner Post Malone and the A1 x J1 band were cancelled.
