Despite two goals from Mohamed Ihattaren, Ajax suffered a practice defeat against SC Paderborn on Saturday. The club from the Second Bundesliga was 2-5 too strong in Oldenzaal for the team of trainer Alfred Schreuder, who does not yet have a complete selection at his disposal.
Ihattaren created danger from the right flank and made the 1-1 and 2-1 in the first half. In the equalizer he found the far corner after a combination with Naci Ünüvar and with his second goal he scored nicely from a free kick.
It was for Ihattaren his first unofficial goals in the first of Ajax. The twenty-year-old former PSV player is back after a period in which he did not feel well physically and mentally and hopes to pick up again.

Ajax had fallen behind early on through a goal from Raphael Obermair. In the second half, after the team from Amsterdam played with almost only youth players, the German opponent ran out. Sirlord Conteh, Kelvin Ofori, Dennis Srbeny and John Iredale scored.
On Tuesday, Ajax was 3-0 too strong for SV Meppen in the first practice match of this preparation. There are still practice matches with Red Bull Salzburg and Eintracht Frankfurt before PSV is the opponent on July 30 in the battle for the Johan Cruijff Scale.
