On Wednesday evening, Hertha’s new president Kay Bernstein (41) met for the first time with his presidium at the office. Hours later he made a harsh judgment about the club in the ZDF morning magazine.
He said: “The last few years have been marked by unprofessionalism and chaos.”
Who or what he meant by that, whether the committees, the office or the sports department, he left open.
He himself sees signs of improvement from his arrival, says: “We have a spirit of optimism, you can feel it.”
Bernstein knows the next two years (while he’s elected) will be difficult. He makes the following drastic comparison: “We have more construction sites than the city of Berlin.”

Incidentally, the traffic information center reported 90 major construction sites and disruptions on Thursday.
So a lot of work when Hertha is in the same condition as the capital. Bernstein: “I would be satisfied if we saw a tendency in two years that we are on the right track.“
