Between Saturday and Sunday morning, 65,393 new positive corona tests were registered throughout the Netherlands, RIVM reports. That is a new daily record. The old record was set on Friday, when there were 57,492. On Saturday there were 46,198 positive corona tests after correction.
Due to the rapid increase in the number of positive tests, computer systems cannot keep up with the reports, so that a large part has not yet been processed. The backlog increased to about 48,000 over the last six days on Sunday. Those infections have already been confirmed, but could not yet be registered.
In the past 24 hours, RIVM received a message that one person has died as a result of a corona infection.
