Sinner chasing the 3rd round at Wimbledon with Ymer: 1-0

Jannik Sinner is on the pitch for the second round at Wimbledon where he faces Mikael Ymer, n.88 in the ranking, with whom the blue is ahead by 2-1 in the previous balance. Jannik, who against Wawrinka in the first round managed to win the first match of a main draw on the grass.

Danger for Sinner at the beginning of the first set when, in the third game, thanks to an uncooperative forehand, he has to save himself from the break. Ymer is aggressive, serves well and puts Jannik in difficulty, who however, when he manages to start the exchange, strikes him on the line. He goes to the advantages in the 4th game, but Sinner misses a slap on the fly that would have sent him one step away from 3-1. The break point still came for Jannik thanks to a backhand from the 23-year-old Swede. In the end, however, Ymer is saved and in the 7th game he goes dangerously ahead 0-30. With two consecutive points and a straight line from his rival, Jannik defuses the danger and with the ninth winner of the match he closes for 4-3. Darren Cahill’s new assist is still under in the score, this time in the ninth game, but from 15-30 he still manages to catch up and, in turn, earn three set points in the next game. A double foul condemns the Swede who yields 6-4.
