President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin congratulated the All-Russian public-state organization “Voluntary Society for Assistance to the Army, Aviation and Navy of Russia” (DOSAAF) on its 95th anniversary.
The head of state stressed that the organization was created by courageous and strong-willed people who aspired to benefit their native country.

The President noted that the members DOSAAF they carefully preserve history and develop traditions, doing a lot for the patriotic education of young people, preparing young men for military service, and improving aviation and technical sports.
DOSAAF was included in the list of backbone organizations. Its structure includes 22 organizations of central subordination and 81 regional branches. Russians who have reached the age of 18 can join DOSAAF of Russia.
