The corona test locations of the GGD in Assen and Emmen are open daily again from today, due to increasing crowds. The test location in Assen will move to a larger location next week.
“It is getting busier at the test locations in Drenthe. That is why we are adjusting our opening hours,” reports the Drentse GGD. The health service has partly kept four test locations in Drenthe open since the beginning of April, but ‘should the situation demand it, we want to be able to scale up again quickly’, it was clearly stated.
Now that the number of confirmed corona infections in the Netherlands is increasing every week, the first scaling up is a fact. Testing for holidays may also be the cause of the increased demand. As of today, the locations in Assen and Emmen are open daily again. “Also during the weekend. You can visit these locations between 8.30 and 11.30 am,” reports the GGD. Assen was open four days a week, Emmen three.
In Hoogeveen, a GGD corona test can be done on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. In Meppel this is possible on Wednesdays and Fridays, from 4 July the Monday will be added. An appointment can also be scheduled at those locations between 08.30 and 11.30
The vaccination and testing location in Assen will be separated from 4 July. Testing will then be done in the larger location on the Asiaweg, testing will continue on the Amerikaweg.
