Competing in the 19th Mediterranean Games held in Algeria, the Under-18 National Football Team defeated Greece 2-1 in its first match.
In the organization held in the city of Oran, the Under-18 National Football Team faced Greece in the first match of Group B.
The crescent-star team defeated their opponent 2-1 with goals from Ali Şahin Yılmaz in the 39th minute and Habip Biçer in the 45th minute, while Konstantinos Volakis scored the only goal of Greece in the 81st minute.
Nationals will play their second match in Group B against Portugal on Tuesday, 28 June.
