PSV-Ajax 5-2 (9 June 1963)
1963 was the year of a hellish Elfstedentocht, the assassination of US President Kennedy and the world famous ‘I Have a Dream’ speech by Martin Luther King. But also the year in which PSV took the national title against Ajax. At home, the championship was secured in the penultimate round.

In Eindhoven it was 5-2 for PSV. The Eindhoven goals were made by Lambert Maassen, Gerard Hoenen, Pierre Kerkhoffs, Wim Wolbers and Ajax player Piet Ouderland.

PSV Ajax 6-2 (19 April 2009)
The April 19, 2009 edition was also decisive in the title race. Not PSV or Ajax took the title that day, but AZ. The Alkmaarders had lost earlier that weekend, but would still take the title if PSV would win.

In Eindhoven they did want to make the last title aspirations of the Amsterdammers disappear. It was a scoring afternoon. Kenneth Vermeer saved another penalty but was unable to prevent PSV from scoring six times. It was 6-2 with goals from Edison Mendez, Ibrahim Afellay, Nordin Amrabat, Jason Culina, Balász Dzsudzsák and Otman Bakkal.

PSV-Ajax 4-3 (August 16, 2009)
The 2009/2010 season had only just started when the topper was already on the program. It was a thrilling match. On the basis of Balász Dzsudzsák and Otman Bakkel, PSV beat Ajax 4-3.

Bakkal was accurate twice that afternoon. Dzsudzsák also scored twice and provided an assist. Neither team took the title that year. The national championship was for FC Twente.

PSV Ajax 6-2 (20 September 1975)
In 1975 Ralf Edström was the big man in the top match between PSV and Ajax. The Swedish striker of the Eindhoven team scored four times. Many PSV players had feelings of revenge after the lost European Championship qualifier against Poland. They had been blamed by many Ajax players.

Revenge came, because PSV won 6-2 against Ajax. PSV was also the best in the ranking that season. The club won the national championship for the second season in a row.

PSV-Ajax 3-0 (April 15, 2018)
It was a dream scenario. In the 31st round, PSV was able to secure the championship with a win over competitor Ajax. It was an unforgettable afternoon for the people of Eindhoven. The club from Amsterdam was outplayed.

In the first half, Gaston Pereiro and Luuk de Jong had already put PSV at a comfortable 2-0. After Steven Bergwijn’s 3-0, the home crowd could already start partying. This was done, among other things, with cardboard champion bowls. A day that is written in capital letters in the history books of PSV.
