For a restart of the German sports clubs, the budget committee of the Bundestag has approved the 25 million euro concept from the DOSB and the Federal Ministry of the Interior, the German Olympic Sports Confederation announced.
It is intended to help clubs to gain new members and trainers after the years of the Corona crisis, the message said. In addition, a nationwide campaign is intended to motivate people to do more sport and exercise.
“This is an important signal for mass sport. Clubs are given concrete support, for example with sports checks and digital trainer training.”explained the DOSB chairman Torsten Burmester. “Above all, we want to get people actively moving again, preferably in a club.”
