A deception for Dai Dai N’tab after the first day at the NK sprint. The skater from Amsterdam won the 500 meters (34.90), but fell in the 1000 meters. He was disqualified after his fall and no longer stands a chance of a good classification.

Among the women, the best from North Holland is Naomi Verkerk from Nieuw-Vennep. After the first day she is in sixth place. The ranking is led by Ireen Wüst, Michelle de Jong and Marrit Fledderus.
