The German eventing team is entering the CHIO in Aachen with the best possible line-up.
The team of the new national coach Peter Thomsen at the CHIO in Aachen (June 24 to July 3) is led by Olympic champion Julia Krajewski (Warendorf) and her gold horse Amande de B’Neville. There are also three-time Olympic champion Michael Jung (Horb) with Chipmunk, reigning European champion Ingrid Klimke (Münster) with Siena Just Do It and former world champion Sandra Auffarth (Ganderkesee) with Viamant du Matz.
Strong show jumping team
From a German point of view, everything that has status and reputation is also represented in show jumping at the Soers. The list of participants includes Christian Ahlmann (Marl) with his top horse Dominator, Daniel Deußer (Wiesbaden) with Killer Queen, winner of the Grand Prix of Aachen last year, and European Champion Andre Thieme (Plau am See) with Chakaria and the three-time World Cup winner Marcus Ehning (Borken) with Stargold.
In dressage, the seven-time Olympic champion Isabell Werth (Rheinberg) with Quantaz, Benjamin Werndl (Aubenhausen) with Famoso, Frederic Wandres (Hagen aTW) with Duke of Britain and Ingrid Klimke with Franziskus start in the Nations Cup. The two-time team Olympic champion Dorothee Schneider (Framersheim) is resting her top horse Showtime for the World Championships in Herning in August and will start in Aachen with Faustus in the so-called small tour.
