First he stabs a woman in the neck with a letter opener. Then he chokes her unconscious. “Violence isn’t really my thing,” he claims afterwards: “I just wanted to help her to stop the bleeding!”
District Court, Room 739. Accused: Kai B. (31, 1.90 m) from Reinickendorf. No job, Hartz IV. But still enough money for drugs. Likes to take out frustration on others, women preferred.
June 23, 2021, Wedding. He helps barmaid Anna* (35) move. The Strangler: “She kept singing an earworm. So I held her by the neck so she would shut up.” The petite woman hasn’t gotten over it to this day. “His gaze was angry and fixed,” she says, “he intended to end my life. I was unconscious. When I came to, he just said: Don’t be so rude!”
August 13, 2021, Tempelhof, a gazebo on Gottlieb-Dunkel-Straße. He helps Bea* (33) renovate. Suddenly jabs a letter opener in her throat. “Then I just tried to squeeze the wound,” explains the strangler in all seriousness: “Wrapped a blanket around her neck, squeezed.”

Judge: “The nose too?” Kai B.: “It could be.” Judge: “Why didn’t you call the emergency doctor if you just wanted to help?” Kai B.: “I fell asleep.”
SEK men stormed a hardware store while searching for the strangler, helicopters and service dogs were deployed. Kai B. was finally tracked down on a railway site. He is still only charged with dangerous bodily harm. A psycho report should clarify how dangerous he really is.
