Former doubles winner Nelson Valdez is returning to his old love Werder Bremen.
As the Bundesliga promoted announced, the 38-year-old Paraguayan will support the U23s for the coming season. Valdez becomes assistant to coach Konrad Fünfstück.
Valdez played for Werder’s professional team between 2003 and 2006, the attacker scored 30 goals in 112 competitive games.
