While the bulk of the Barça squad was enjoying the holidays, Sergi Roberto has continued working at the Ciutat Esportiva to get in tune and has passed all the medical tests showing that he is recovered from the last injury to his right thigh that prevented him from reappearing in the final leg of the league.
The player suffered a new mishap of not very high consideration, but that led him to have to slow down his progression. It was no longer a question of taking risks in an area that in global terms was recovering well after the surgery he underwent in December.
Sergi Roberto has followed the guidelines of the Barça physiotherapists and has satisfactorily passed the tests to which it has been subjected. Therefore, the player can now take a short break before rejoining the Blaugrana discipline on July 4 with the first shift of players who will be under Xavi’s orders to start the 2022-23 season.
It should be remembered that Sergi Roberto reached an agreement with FC Barcelona to extend his contract for one more season after long negotiations.
