Defending champion Tadej Pogacar travels to the Tour de France with a home win.
The 23-year-old from the UAE Emirates team secured overall victory in the Tour of Slovenia on Sunday and repeated his success from the previous year.
Pogacar kept his leader’s jersey on the 155.7 km final stage from Vrhnika to Novo Mesto, relegating his compatriot Matej Mohoric (Bahrain Victorious) to second place in the final sprint.
Pogacar had already won stage three on Friday, taking the overall lead. In the Tour of France, which starts in Copenhagen on July 1, he is again the top favorite for the yellow jersey.
