Tilla (11 months)
All is well with mothers! That’s what gorilla girl Tilla thinks too.
Shortly before her first birthday on February 15, she rages with mother Bibi (25). “Tilla is walking around more and more alone and is playing more and more with her roommates Mpenzi and Djambala and also with Papa Sango,” says zoo spokeswoman Philine Hachmeister.
And Tilla also feels at home at dizzy heights.

She climbs like a world champion and sometimes even dangles upside down from the ceiling. Tilla was the zoo’s first gorilla offspring in 16 years. A sweet ambassador for the endangered great apes.
