Gustavo Prellezo
Gustavo Prellezo, former commissioner of the Buenos Aires Police and in charge of firing the two shots that killed headsHe has been enjoying his freedom for some time. Alberto “The Hare” Gomez

Hannibal Moon

Silvia Belawsky
During the trial he was also sentenced to Silvia Belawsky, ex-wife of Prellezo. In her case, she was not found guilty of the murder, but she was found guilty of making a false report for the theft of the car that her then-husband then used to commit the crime. He served his sentence and since then lives in La Plata. His testimony was key to establishing the link between the executioners and Yabrán.
Gregory Rios
Gregory Rios, the head of the businessman’s custody, was the tenth convicted. His role, according to the Justice, was that of the intellectual author of the crime. In 2006 he benefited from house arrest and in 2013, the Buenos Aires Court of Cassation established that the sentence had been served.
Alfredo Yabran
Alfredo Yabrán, meanwhile, could never be tried, since five days after Belawsky’s testimony that led to his request for arrest by the Federal Judge of Dolores, José Luis Macchi, committed suicide in one of his stays in Entre Ríos. On May 20, 1998, cornered, the then all-powerful businessman chose to shoot himself in the mouth with a 12.70 caliber shotgun rather than face justice.
