For months, the migration chain has had to be adapted and measured in order to provide suitable reception for those who need it. People are cared for under circumstances that sometimes leave something to be desired. In recent weeks and days, the situation in the entire migration chain (inflow, throughput and outflow) has come under further pressure. People were repeatedly sheltered in tents and in the open air. This deteriorating situation makes it necessary, effective today, for temporary coordination and decision-making at a senior official and political-administrative level with regard to transfers in the migration chain.
The structure for national crisis decision-making, which is coordinated by the National Coordinator for Terrorism and Security (NCTV), is activated specifically for the purpose of improving the flow and outflow of the migration chain. This structure consists of the Interdepartmental Coordination Consultation (ILO), the Interdepartmental Crisis Management Committee (ICCb) and the Ministerial Crisis Management Committee (MCCb). The National Core Team Communication (NKC) is also active. Within this structure, there is close cooperation with security regions, municipalities, IND, COA and other partners.
The Minister of Justice and Security, also on behalf of the State Secretary of Justice and Security, the Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations and the Minister for Housing and Spatial Planning, has just reported this in a letter to the House of Representatives.
