Former child star Ryan Grantham has been convicted of second-degree murder.

Grantham shot his mother while he was playing the piano in November 2020. Grantham himself took pictures of what happened. The shooting took place in a small Squamish in western Canada.

Grantham was then to be shot by the Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau. To that end, Grantham packed three guns into his car, ammunition, 12 Molotov cocktails, and instructions for finding Trudeau’s Ottawan apartment.

However, Grantham changed his mind, and drove to the police in Vancouver, and confessed to his actions.

Second-degree murder means a life sentence in British Columbia, Canada. It has not yet been decided how long Grantham will have to sit on the verdict before he can apply for parole. This can mean 10-25 years.

Born in 1998, Grantham has starred in dozens of series including Riverdale, Neropat’s Diary, Riese and Supernatural.

He made his first role as a child under the age of 10, and Grantham has been considered a child star.
