New ferry connection between UK and Zeebrugge
Mayor and Vice-President of the Port of Antwerp-Bruges Dirk De fauw: “I am pleased that after the closure of the Zeebrugge-Hull line, a replacement line will be created between Zeebrugge and the United Kingdom. Rosyth is located very north in the immediate vicinity of Edinburgh and Glasgow. Initially, freight will only be shipped, but the parties involved undertake to further investigate the possibility of passenger transport. This would give a boost to tourism in Bruges and the Westhoek and by extension throughout West Flanders. After all, the previous ferry connection was good for 250,000 passengers transported on an annual basis.”
