Suspect of shooting in the center of Brussels arrested in Vienna | Inland

A suspect was arrested in Vienna on Monday for the shooting that took place on Saturday evening in the vicinity of De Brouckèreplein in Brussels. The shooting incident occurred on Saturday evening around 8.20 pm near De Brouckèreplein. The 43-year-old victim Erion Hasanbelliu received six bullets in the back and in the buttocks and was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition. On Sunday morning, his condition was still critical. The suspect is the Albanian top criminal Noga Kasander (44). Perpetrator and victim have been engaged in a bloody feud that seems to have no end for twenty years.

After the shooting, the Brussels investigating judge issued a European and international arrest warrant for a 44-year-old suspect. According to Vienna Online, Austrian police received a tip that the man was in Vienna. After an intensive investigation, the man could be arrested around 9.15 am on Monday morning in an apartment building in the residential area of ​​Donaustadt. The forty-year-old would have been surprised by the police intervention and would not have offered any resistance.
