Third division promoted Rot-Weiss Essen strengthens the offensive with Aurel Loubongo. The 20-year-old joins FC St. Pauli on a free transfer. Loubongo was directly involved in 15 goals in 29 regional league games for the “Kiezkicker” reserve team last season. The attacker was once in the matchday squad for the pros in 2019.
“Aurel is a very talented and versatile player who can play on both wings and up front. We have observed his development over a long period of time and are confident in his abilities and potential. We’re looking forward to his refreshing way,” said sporting director Jörn Nowak.
