Amber Heard believes the image of the trial created on social media was unfair. AOP

Actress Amber Heard has finally commented on her lawsuit against her ex-husband Johnny Depp, which has received tremendous media attention.

The lawsuit, which ended nearly two weeks ago, ended in Depp’s victory when a jury sentenced Heard to pay $ 10.35 million in damages for defamation.

Heard, who brought the counterclaim, was given little consolation that Depp was also sentenced to pay him compensation. Admittedly, Depp only has to pay him two million dollars.

Heard says in an interview with U.S. Morning Program, he understands why the jury leaned to Depp’s side.

– In fact, I understand. He is a beloved character and people think they know him. He’s a fantastic actor, he estimates.

In an interview, Heard says he doesn’t care what people think of him or what happened in his home or marriage behind closed doors.

Nonetheless, he finds it unfair how social media got bogged down in the debate over the trial.

– While some are sure I deserve all this anger and poison; even though they believe I’m lying, they can’t look me straight in the eye and say that the social media (trial) was presented fairly, he says.

Depp’s lawyers say they have no reason to believe that social media contributed to the outcome of the trial. They recall that if this had happened, the jury would have broken its oath.

Heard’s lawyer has stated that Heard intends to appeal the verdict. A lawyer who spoke to Today before Elaine Bredehoft considers Depp’s lawyers to have “demonized” Heard and succeeded in concealing key evidence.
