Munich (AP) – National soccer player Joshua Kimmich thinks that the German team still has an open score with their neighbors after losing the opening game of the European Championship against France last year.
“Personally, the defeat in Munich at the last European Championship is still in my bones. We still have a score to settle with them,” said the Bayern player to the French soccer newspaper “So Foot”.
At the World Cup in Qatar, the level will definitely be very high. “Germany, as always, will be a contender for the title. It has to be, but based on my personal experience, I’d rather be cautious. We have to be a bit more humble, especially when you look at what we’ve done in recent tournaments,” said Kimmich.
