Cycling: Ferron celebrates victory, van Aert continues to be the leader

Professional cyclist Valentin Ferron won the sixth stage of the 74th Critérium du Dauphiné as a breakaway. Wout van Aert remains the leader.

The French professional cyclist Valentine Ferron left the sixth stage at the 74. Criterium du Dauphine won.

The 24-year-old was able to break away after 196.5 kilometers from Rives in the well-known Tour de France stage town of Gap in front of his two compatriots Pierre Rolland and Warren Barguil assert.

The Belgian defended the yellow jersey of the overall leader Wout van Aert, who finished 32 seconds after Ferron in the peloton. Van Aert leads Mattia Cattaneo of Italy by 63 seconds and his Slovenian Jumbo Visma teammate by 66 Primoz Roglic.
