But what turns out? The viewers were busy with something completely different. They were massively annoyed by presenter Tijl Beckand.
‘The perfect picture’
The episode started with an assignment that was all about football. The candidates went to the football stadium armed with their cameras just before the start of an important match. The assignment? Photograph frenzied football fans. Renée Soutendijk was unfortunately not able to come, because she had become ill. Luckily for her, she had a waiver in her pocket, which she’d won the week before.
The nude shoot
For the second assignment, the candidates visited an old leather factory. One by one, they were allowed to choose a traditional mask for their shoot. It soon became apparent that the mask was linked to a certain model, and not just any model: a nude model.
Winner of the week
The infamous nude shoot was planned and it causes red ears every year. Both at the candidates and at the home of the viewers. Some candidates got through it better than others. For example, Babette van Veen managed to take a beautiful photo of her nude model, with which she even scored an 8.8. She became the winner of the week.
Drop out
The nude shoot went a little less for Tim den Besten and Daphne Bunskoek. They ended up at the bottom of the ranking. Tim got a 4.5 for his nude photo, but thanks to a better score on the first assignment comes out at an average of 6.0. Unfortunately, Daphne failed to top that. With an average of 5.3, she is the first dropout of the series.
Comments
The nude shoot, the first dropout: you would think the viewers at home would have enough to talk about. Yet it seems that Twitter is mainly about something completely different: presenter Tijl Beckand. They find it quite irritating.
What a shame that such a beautiful program like #theperfectpicture is so ruined by a much too present, screaming, so very not funny, presenter #tijlbeckand

I can no longer hear that voice of Tijl. Presentation, voice over, talk, jury commentary … and always that terrible staccato #theperfectpicture
