Part of the train traffic around Den Bosch and Eindhoven has been resumed after a stopped train at Best caused disruptions on Thursday morning. Two of the four tracks are back in use.
At around 6.30 am there was a report of smoke in the train that was running between Acht and Best at that time. That train has been evacuated. The passengers, several dozen, have been removed, the NS reports. The fire service is trying to find out what’s going on. There was still nothing to say about this around 8:15 am.
For the time being, fewer sprinters than usual are driving between Eindhoven and Breda. And fewer intercity trains run on the Eindhoven – Den Bosch route. The NS expects the disruption to last until about 09:00.
