No.in the jungle of “bonuses” paid out for offset the disasters caused by the pandemic, there is also one for the wedding sector collapsed in a devastating way due to the block of ceremonies which lasted 15 months and restarted only in June 2021.
Wedding bonus, good news for the sector
A more truly black year, 2020, for the “wedding industry”, Which saw postpone or cancel more than half of marriages and celebrate in a reduced form the wedding of couples who have decided not to give up anyway. A loss of turnover that went from 15 billion in 2019 to almost two in 2020.
60 million on the way
But, fortunately, for the sector good news arrives: the implementing decree for non-repayable grants for 60 million euros in favor of companies in the wedding, entertainment, organization of parties and ceremonies sectors and the Hotellerie-Restaurant-Catering sector (Ho.re.ca) it’s ready.
The Put, the Ministry of Economic Development, and the MEF, the Ministry of Economy and Finance approved the decree, which finally makes the envisaged measure operational. But who exactly is it and how do you request and receive it?
Who the contributions go to
THE 60 million euros in total allocated for the events sector by the Sostegni bis decree are intended for: al wedding sector, namely that of marriages, for 40 million. For the entertainment sector, the organization of parties and ceremonies, 10 million per sector. And finally, for another 10 million to the sector of the hotel-restaurant-catering (Ho.Re.Ca.).
The contribution it can only be requested by companies belonging to the aforementioned sectors and that in the year 2020 have suffered a reduction in turnover of no less than 30 percent, compared to that of 2019.
Wedding bonus, how to apply
The application must be submitted directly to the Revenue Agency. The methods and terms for doing so will be established by a provision about to arrive. But, the real good news, is that the contributions will be credited directly to the current account indicated by those who request it.

It is not yet certain, but as the pandemic does not seem to give up, new non-repayable contributions for the events sector are also being discussed, to indemnify activities from closures starting from December 2021 onwards. But still nothing is certain.
Farewell to the spouses bonus
If the good news comes for business, the less good news is for the future spouses. For them, in fact, state support fades which provided for a tax deduction of 25 percent on the expenses incurred for the wedding, with a maximum ceiling of up to 25 thousand euros, with a maximum discount of 6,250 euros to be recovered in five annual installments.
