AMSTERDAM – Since the war in Ukraine, Russia has easily entered the top ten as the country of origin with the most asylum applications. The Netherlands is very hesitant towards Russian dissidents and conscientious objectors, but does not dare to send them back. A decision about their fate is on hold for now.
