Golf, Tiger Wood retires from US Open: “See you next month”

The winner of 15 majors and 82 tournaments on the PGA Tour will not be at the start on the Brookline green: “I need time to be competitive”. Possible return to Ireland in July

No US Open for Tiger Woods, scheduled for next week in Brookline, Massachusetts: the winner of 15 majors and 82 tournaments on the PGA Tour will not participate in the traditional US Open, the third major of the year.

Woods, who rejoined the circuit in April after a serious car accident in February 2021, said he needed more time to get back into competition and will therefore focus on the JP McManus Pro-Am on July 4-5 and on the British Open, scheduled in St. Andrews from the 14th of the same month.
