Last night in Beverwijk, four young people were threatened with a knife and robbed of their belongings. This is reported by the police. A 16-year-old Alkmaarder was arrested, he also turned out to be armed. Police are still looking for a second suspect.
The four victims – boys of 15 years old – were approached in the evening around 10 p.m. by two boys on Deken Waarestraat. The pair then threatened the four boys with their knives and forced them to hand over their belongings.
The perpetrators then fled. Officers soon saw two boys who matched the description.
Short chase
After a short chase, the 16-year-old Alkmaarder was arrested. The officers also found his knife and confiscated it. The second suspect is still being sought. Police are asking witnesses to come forward.
