Born in Mainz, he has already coached Arminia Bielefeld, Energie Cottbus, Rot-Weiß Erfurt, KFC Uerdingen and 1. FC Magdeburg. In a total of 262 games, Kramer stood on the sideline and scored an average of 1.45 points. Most recently, he coached the Belgian first division club KAS Eupen.

“People here in the region have a high level of identification with Emsland and SVM. I want to form a team that offers our fans honest, straightforward and passionate football.”
— Stefan Kramer

With Bielefeld, Krämer even got promoted to the second Bundesliga in 2013 and then had an Arminia tattoo done. But after 22 second division games it was over. In 2018, Krämer led KFC Uerdingen to the third division with 34 points from twelve games via the relegation against Mannheim, before he was released after 21 match days despite fourth place in the table.
