Belgian long-term interest rate already above 1.8 percent
Belgian long-term interest rates continue to rise at a rapid pace. Today, the 10-year interest rate stood at 1.83 percent, the highest level since the spring of 2014. Higher interest rates are bad news for the treasury, because it means that more interest has to be paid to finance themselves, but also for individuals who want to buy a house.
