Özbek, who is a candidate for the presidency in the extraordinary general assembly to be held in Galatasaray on June 11, met with female members of Galatasaray at the facilities of the Turkish Sports Writers Association in Levent.
Explaining that he will give all kinds of support for female members to take a more active role in the club, Dursun Özbek reiterated his suggestion that all members of the elected general assembly council should be women.
Dursun Özbek said the following about the allegations that Galatasaray Island will be sold:
“Galatasaray Island is our red line. Galatasaray Island belongs to the people of Galatasaray, and it will always remain so. I briefly mentioned our project on this subject at the council meeting. We will start working on creating a social facility area that will serve our members as soon as possible on Galatasaray Island. Our focus is to ensure the future of Galatasaray by achieving financial independence with a well-planned study with an experienced team. This is our responsibility not only to those who love Galatasaray, but also to our children and grandchildren. Therefore, we are responsible for such unfounded claims. As the Galatasaray community, we should not waste time.”
