Coach Ole Werner, under whom Bremen just managed to get promoted to the Bundesliga, said: “Niklas is a robust and technically good defensive player who has already experienced a lot in his career. He can certainly help us immediately. It’s great that we were able to convince him of the sporting prospects at Werder.”
Stark has been with BSC since 2015, which he joined from training club 1. FC Nürnberg. Since then he has played almost 200 competitive games for the “Old Lady”, who once paid a fee of 3 million euros.
