A motorist drove her car against the wall of a gym on Anemoonlaan in Raamsdonksveer around a quarter past two on Friday afternoon. It concerns Fitness Center Van Drunen. The elderly lady driving the electric car accidentally stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake, the gym owner said.
The woman was not injured. The gym was open at that time, but there was no exercise in the hall where the car drove in. No one was there.
The extent of the damage is not yet clear. The facade of the building has been badly damaged. There is a lot of rubble in the room. The gym will remain open, according to the owner.
