Virpi and Katja Kätkä are fully celebrating their 30-year careers.

The amount of joy was indescribable when Slender sprig and Katja Kätkä echoed the festivities at Helsinki’s Hampton Bay Restaurant on Wednesday.
Sisters from Ylitornio decided to celebrate their 30-year career with their showy style. Both were wearing glitter outfits and glittering high heels.
– It’s a great moment, we’re celebrating today until the morning, Katja laughs.
– At this age, I can enjoy this very moment and all these wonderful people, Virpi says in turn.

Both have quite a busy spring behind them. Katja has focused on her work as a singing teacher and at the same time organized events for the anniversary year.
– Many times I wanted to call Virpi and ask for an opinion until I realized that it was in the jungle, Katja recalls.
Virpi has spent a month in Malaysia filming the new season of the Survivors Finland program. He was seen earlier in the third season of the program. In the fall, it will be clear if he will be able to grab the victory as veterans and newcomers take their toll.
– I went on a diet vacation in the jungle. I have come straight to the finished table and I enjoy this. Last time I got a severe food poisoning, so now the cognac bottles were taken with Wallu immediately after coming out of the jungle, so the bacteria has not gotten hit, Virpi shakes.

With the power of a visa hit
Katja and Virpi performed their evergreen hits at the party over the years. The most anticipated song was, of course, the duo’s song Bye Bye Baby, with which they represented Finland at the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest.
The duo did not manage to bring victory to Finland, but in the course of history the song has turned out to be a lottery win. Virpi says that they usually present their visas up to twice at a concert at the request of the audience.
When Bye Bye Baby went to play on Wednesday’s occasion, the media person’s attention was drawn to Wallu Valpion and a Thai boxer Pok Biilin shirtless dance performance. Both men have become acquainted with Virpi in the descriptions of the Survivors program.

Among the celebrants was also the original lyricist and composer of the song Markku “Make” Lentonen.
– I am happy and proud of them. They were similar when we met in the early 90s, Lentonen laughs.

Lentonen recalls how Yle would have liked another artist to perform a visa piece instead of CatCat. However, the composer kept his head and CatCat got into the visa qualifier through test songs.
A quiet moment was held at the celebration of the second author of the visa hit, Kari Sallin in memory. Salli died on May 14 at the age of 60.
Survivors gathered
Other competitors from the upcoming Survivors season had also arrived at the party. In the jungles of Malaysia, his skills will be demonstrated by last year’s Big Brother program winner Jasmiina Ylidiz.
– We (competitors) are called Virpi Viuhti. When I saw him at the airport, I was excited because I was a fan of him earlier then.
– He is an incredibly cordial person and would certainly not hurt anyone, Jasmiina inches.
