Eric Clapton live in Berlin: Tickets, directions, weather

On May 29th, Eric Clapton will play a show at the Freilicht Waldbühne in Berlin. The guitarist will be supported at this concert by the Italian singer and songwriter Zucchero, who has already been credited with being the “father of Italian blues”. The two musicians only appear together on the Berlin Waldbühne, the next concerts by Clapton take place again without Zucchero. Another special guest will also be announced on the Waldbühne website.

Admission to the concert begins at 3:30 p.m. According to Eventim, the start of the event has been postponed twice. Last month, the most recent shift from 6 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. was announced.

All tickets purchased prior to this change remain valid. So you do not have to worry if a different time is noted on the ticket.

Permitted are only bags or backpacks up to a size of 21.0 cm x 29.7 cm (DIN A4). You can take seat cushions and blankets with you. Likewise, each person is allowed to take one non-alcoholic drink with them onto the site in a container up to 0.5 liters in size in the Tetra Park or in a plastic bottle.

Not allowed are bulky objects such as suitcases, baskets, helmets, prams, stick umbrellas, selfie sticks and the like. Food and snacks are also not allowed, as are technical devices such as notebooks, tablets and recording devices. Only mobile phones may be taken along.

There is one for medically necessary devices and medicines exception: Visitors who have to make use of the exception are asked to use the wheelchair user entrance (to the right of the main entrance) and to show appropriate proof.

If you don’t have a ticket for the concert yet, you can still get one at short notice: tickets in various price ranges are still available, both for the front rows and for the back rows. Prices range from EUR 296.65 for the best view to EUR 147.15 for the seat furthest from the stage.

Approach to the forest stage

The Waldbühne is located in the Olympiapark, the address is: Glockenturmstraße 1, 14053 Berlin.

Park

According to the venue, parking is limited. The P07 car park, which is subject to a fee, opens three and a half hours before the start of the event and closes again a maximum of two hours after the end of the event. This means that no cars should be left on the site overnight. The permissible total weight for passenger cars is 2.8 tons.

Disabled parking spaces are available on P08 (next to the bell tower). To use it, you need a disability card with a proven degree of disability of at least 70% or a car that is designated as a disabled vehicle. The place can only be approached via Passenheimer Straße.

Arrival by public transport

The Waldbühne recommends traveling by public transport on its website.

You can take the S3 and S9 S-Bahn lines to the Pichelsberg S-Bahn station and from there you can reach the Waldbühne in 10 minutes. With the subway, use the U2 to the subway station Olympiastadion. The walk from the stadium is about 20 minutes. The M49 or 218 bus lines also go close to the venue: it is about 15 minutes from Ragniter Allee or Scholzplatz to the Waldbühne.

An average temperature of 16 degrees is forecast for May 29th. It’s supposed to be very cloudy and at most slightly sunny, for 3 p.m. a temperature of 14 degrees is given, from 6 p.m. the temperature is supposed to drop steadily from 13 degrees. Rain is expected to be light, if any, for a short period of time. Temperatures of around 10 degrees are expected at night.
